Why pick PicWish background remover?

For starters, it is pretty simple to use, as illustrated above. You don’t need to manually outline/crop an object or learn any special skills. Then there are a few more perks.

Accuracy matters

You wouldn’t like a hand or a portion of the head missing from the image, would you? PicWish has been impeccably accurate in most cases, so kudos to the AI. And in instances with immensely complex images, there were errors, but not too major or catastrophic.

While the free web version boasts limited features, the iOS app makes up for it. You can:

Batch remove background from images

You can select up to 30 images and bulk remove their background. It took less than 5 seconds to bulk erase the background during my testing. So that’s a big plus👍. However, you can’t refine the removal like in the web version.

Image resizer

A great feature for marketers, you can resize the image as per the default size used by Amazon, Shopify, Etsy, or more without compromising quality. Although, you can’t crop it as per social media websites or a custom ratio.

Is PicWish a wish come true or not?

User interface

Value for money

It’s almost there; I am cool with the concept that additional features are locked under premium. But the discrepancy between the app and web features doesn’t bode that well for me. You can’t edit the selection in the app; I mean, that’s what I loved the most in the web version.

Then you can’t resize while using the website; why oh why? The app doesn’t even boast a cloud or some sharing system that’ll allow me to move from iPhone to Mac or vice-a-versa.

Overall, PicWish needs some tweaks to become the perfect tool. However, it’s a great tool for startup businesses, solopreneurs, crafters, content creators, and more; it’s quick, smooth, accurate, and easy to use.

How To Remove Input Background On Select In Css

The default styling for HTML form elements can often be somewhat dull and uninspiring. One element that is often in need of a design overhaul is the select input, which is used to present users with a list of options to choose from. In this article, we will show you how to remove the default background of the select input using CSS.

By doing so, you will be able to customize the appearance of your select inputs and make them more visually appealing and in line with the overall design of your website or application.

Various Inputs fields in CSS

Let us first understand the basic knowledge that, we need to have before moving on to solving this problem. The first thing we need to know is, what are inputs in a web page? Any intractable section of the website through which the user can enter and submit data is called input field in a website.

There are different types of inputs that are provided in HTML. For example, text area, radio, select options, etc. Each of these inputs are styled differently by default. On many occasions we are required to use a custom styling to give impact to our website and make it stand out from others.

Some common examples for input fields being used in websites are given below.

The second thing we need to know is about “states” of these inputs. Whenever we are interacting with the input field to enter some data, the input field is said to be in “active” state, but if the input field is left untouched, it is said to be in “non-active” state. Another terminology that can be used to describe them is “focused” and “unfocused” state. By default, all inputs are in unfocused state.

But that only works for input types that are entered by the user. More often than not, websites contain drop-down lists that has some pre-existing list of options you can chose from and the user choses one or more from the given list.

As all other form of inputs, it is also an input field and has a default styling associated to it. We can create the custom drop-down list using the select tag from html. It is majorly used in forms to collect data from the users. An example of a drop-down list using the select tag is given below.

In the above example, we provided the select tag a name and an id. The name attribute is for refer it after its submission by user, while the id attribute is used to access the data that will be sent after submission. To provide the options that are available for the user to choose we use the option tag. We can also use several other attributes to make the list more accessible and distinct.

In the following example we can use the –webkit-appearance : none to completely remove the background.

.form-control:focus, .form-control:active { background: transparent; } #movies, #movies:focus, #movies:active { background: none; -webkit-appearance: none; } <input name=”YourName” type=”text”

placeholder=”Can you please tell me your name :)” required <input name=”YourEmail” type=”email”

placeholder=”Your email please :)”

As we can already notice that the visual output of the example above is different and does not have that default grayish toned background color in it. Another unintuitive approach would be to use a div as a container for the select box. After that set a width restriction and hide the overflow, and let the select box’s width be somewhat smaller than the container div. That way the default styled arrow will disappear from the webpage.

Please note that instead of targeting a single tag like we did in this article, most developers make use of ids and classes to make a general style so that we do not have to repeat the code in case a similar situation occurs.

This article discussed the solution for the problem of removing input background in CSS. In the process of doing so, we learnt about inputs, their types, default styling of inputs, and their states. We also learnt how we can target special states of elements using the pseudo class selectors.

How To Remove Or Replace A Background In Photoshop

Thankfully, Photoshop is now easier than ever to use, with basic photo editing like this made easy. If you want to know how to remove a background in Photoshop, you’ll need to follow these easy-to-follow steps. This guide will work best for the latest version of Photoshop, but may also work for older releases.

Table of Contents

Removing A Background In Photoshop Using Background Eraser Tool

If you’ve ever cut an object from an image in Photoshop, you should be familiar with many of the steps used to manipulate images. For backgrounds, a special tool called the Background Eraser tool can be used to remove a background from an image in Photoshop.

This is the most well-known method for Photoshop background editing, and should work for older versions of the software.

This tool is one of the alternative Eraser tools in your Photoshop toolbox menu, visible on the left-hand side. You’ll need to press and hold the Eraser tool icon, then select the Background Eraser tool from the drop-down menu.

One of the most important settings to change is the Tolerance percentage, which is visible in the top menu. A lower tolerance value will mean that the eraser focuses on a tighter set of colors, while a higher value will erase more colors at once. This gives you greater (or lower) accuracy, depending on the background you have and the image you’re working with.

You’ll also want to set the Sample value to Continuous for complex backgrounds. This means that the color Photoshop focuses on (and erases) changes as you hold and move the eraser tool around your image. If you have a more basic image with fewer colors, you may wish to set this to Discontinuous or Find Edges instead.

Once you’re ready to begin removing the background in Photoshop, carefully use the eraser to brush between the main object of the image (that you’re looking to save) and the background (that you’re looking to remove). If the setting is correct, this should begin to erase the background while leaving the object intact.

This will require some finesse (and possibly trial-and-error) to remove the background successfully. If you’re having trouble with more complex backgrounds, you may wish to prefer to use the Select Subject tool instead.

Using The Select Subject Tool To Remove Photoshop Backgrounds

This is particularly useful for background removal. Rather than manually brushing away a background, you can select the main subject of an image that you’re looking to save to remove the background behind it.

Once confirmed, the image background that the Select Subject tool detected will be removed and replaced with a white background. You can then replace the background according to your tastes.

Replacing A Background In Photoshop

You can replace the background of an image in Photoshop by first removing the background and leaving it transparent. You can then add a new layer to your image, placed behind the main subject, to create a new background.

If you use the Select Subject tool, this automatically creates a background layer that you can either edit or replace. This is the best method for replacing a background but, if you use the Background Eraser or alternative method for removing a background, you can add a new background layer in a similar way.

The default settings in the Select Subject menu should be acceptable to most users, but you can tweak these if you’re having problems. Press OK to confirm once you’re ready.

Once the background has been removed, you can edit or insert a new background layer. From the Layers tab, a layer named Background will be listed. You could, for instance, select this layer and use the Paint Bucket tool to replace the colour of the background with a single color.

You can then manipulate the new layer you’ve inserted. By default, Photoshop should paste this at the bottom of your layered canvas. This means the background layer will be placed below the main subject, replacing the previous image background.

You can then make further changes to this layer (for instance, changing the color, or adding new elements to it) using the Photoshop toolbox menu on the left.

Using Alternative Photo Editing Tools

If you don’t have Photoshop installed, you may be able to remove a background from a photo using an alternative photo editor. This may be trickier to do, but the free and open-source GIMP photo editor should be able to do the job by using the magic wand tool.

How To Remove Device From Wi

One way to troubleshoot an unstable internet is by analyzing your network traffic. You can check what devices are connected to the router, and see if there is any an unauthorized user. Maybe they are someone you gave Wi-Fi access in the past but would like to kick them off now.

Changing the Wi-Fi passcode or resetting the router is all that’s needed to remove devices from the Wi-Fi and make them re-authenticate.  However, if these methods don’t appeal to you, we’ve also listed various other ways to accomplish the same goal in this article.

After removing the unwanted device, we also recommend taking additional steps to secure the Wi-Fi, such as disabling vulnerabilities like WPS or setting up guest networks. However, for this article, let’s focus on different ways to restrict network access.

All network interface controllers (NICs) are assigned a unique hardware ID or physical ID known as the MAC Address. This means everything from your router, PC, and phone has a unique MAC Address. MAC Filtering refers to the process of using these unique identifiers to blacklist or whitelist certain devices from a network.

It can be bypassed through methods like MAC Spoofing, so it’s not completely secure, but it’s still a good enough security measure in most general cases. Things like IP-MAC Binding help in this regard as well.

Finally, when using MAC Filtering, the first method is to set it up so that certain devices are blacklisted and can’t access the network. Or alternatively, you can allow only specified devices to access the network through whitelisting. With all that in mind, here’s how you can set up MAC Filtering on your router:

MAC Filtering typically prevents a wireless device from connecting to the network. In some routers, Access Control does the same for wired and wireless devices. However, on others, Access Control allows the device to connect to the network but specifically restricts internet access.

This may not explicitly remove a device from the Wi-Fi, but it more or less serves the same purpose in most cases. The process of using it is very similar to that of MAC Filtering. Here are the necessary steps::

Parental Controls isn’t supported on all routers, but on those that do, it offers a number of useful functionalities. This includes checking a device’s internet history, blocking specific content, restricting internet access, setting time limits, etc. Here’s how you can use this feature:

Quality of Service (QoS) allows you to prioritize which services or devices receive how much bandwidth. This method doesn’t actually remove the device from the Wi-Fi either, but you can use it to limit the bandwidth and restrict internet access, which is ultimately what most users want. With that said, here are the steps to set up QoS:

Older mobiles and computers, as well as most smart home devices and electronic appliances, can only connect to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. While this is a bit niche, disabling the 2.4 GHz band can remove unwanted devices from the Wi-Fi in such cases. Here’s how you can do this:

Certain router vendors and ISPs have mobile apps that allow you to manage internet access. If this is applicable in your case, removing certain devices from the Wi-Fi should be pretty simple:

While we’re on this topic, we should also mention that third-party Wi-Fi Jamming tools capable of restricting internet access on certain devices do exist. They identify the device through their MAC Address and repeatedly send dissociate packets to do this. However, we recommend exercising caution if you plan to use such tools, as they’re generally not reliable.

When you change your Wi-Fi password, all devices are required to reauthenticate using the new password. Because of this, any unauthorized devices should no longer be able to connect to your Wi-Fi unless you give out the new password. Here’s how you can change your Wi-Fi password:

Resetting a router wipes all the customized settings and restores the router to factory defaults. This includes your Wi-Fi settings as well. After resetting the router, it’s essential to reconfigure the router and Wi-Fi so that they’re secure. Here’s how you can do this:

How To Capture Still Images From Videos On Windows 10 / 11

How to capture still images from videos on Windows 10 / 11 3 tested methods to save images

You can find below simple methods on how to capture photos from video in Windows 10, using apps that you might already have.

With multiple video editing features that you can use to grab images from videos, Adobe’s tool is a great video-editing software.

You can use your own media player in order to capture pictures from videos.

A screen-recording tool can also be used to capture still images from a video in Windows 10.

Users have been wanting to make a screen capture from a movie or video file on their Windows 10 devices.

This feature comes in very handy if you want to create the perfect thumbnail for a video, or to add some effects to your website, and why not, set them as your background image.

How can I capture pictures and photos from videos?

You can capture pictures from videos by using one of the methods written below. Some include built-in programs, while others require a third-party tool.

1. Use a third-party video editor

The most obvious choice when it comes to extracting content out of a video is through the use of a video editor since you are essentially interested in a particular frame from it.

That being said, no video editor is better for the job than Adobe’s very own Premiere Pro, an industry-standard in the world of video editors.

Since it is used by both common users and within the movie industry to create Hollywood-level content, we highly recommend it for any video editing purposes.

The interface is simplistic, following the traditional timeline-based arrangement, so even casual users will know how to get around this app.

More so, the program comes with all the tools one may ever need in order to edit a video, including extracting a single frame from it and using it as a screenshot.

2. Use your video player

Most video players nowadays come with a few video editing tools themselves, most of which are used to adjust the image of the video as you are watching it.

Curiously enough, the ability to capture a certain frame at any given time from within a video is a trait that is quite common.

Of course, not all video players are the same, but you can easily find a similar option if you look for a bit.

3. Take a screenshot of your video

The easiest method to capture a still image of a video is to use the built-in Snipping Tool or any other screen-recording software. All you need to do is navigate to the section of the video you want to take a picture of, then screenshot it.

1. Play your video on any video player.

2. Pause it at the moment where there is an image you want to capture.

3. Press Shift + Windows key + S at the same time. Alternatively, press any key that you bound your screenshot function to, if you customized its hotkey using a screenshot tool.

4. Select the area you want to capture. The image will be stored in the clipboard.

5. Open Paint.

6. Paste the image onto your Paint canvas.

7. Save the image to your PC. You can configure the location you want to save it to, as well as the file’s name.

If all options fail for some reason, a screen recorder is your next best solution and it can be used in almost any video player you may have already installed on your PC.

By following these steps, you should be able to capture a photo or image of any video and use it for whatever purpose you see fit.

Screencasting from one device to another is one of the quickest and easiest ways to broadcast content from one device to another. It’s also a really easy way to watch content from a small screen on a big screen, however, If you don’t have a casting device connected to your PC, the casting icon / option in Google Chrome can be more annoying than beneficial. So you might as well remove it.

Quick steps to remove the casting icon from Google Chrome:

Update Google Chrome.

Open Chrome and type or copy and paste chrome:

Use the search box to search: Load Media Router Component Extension.

When it appears change the drop-down option from Default to Disabled.

Next, use the search box to search: Cast Media Route Provider and change it from Default to Disabled.

After you have changed both settings to Disabled , Restart Chrome and the changes will take effect.

Note: The steps shown below will work for Chrome on Windows, Mac, Linux, etc.

Now that Chrome is up to date open the browser and type or copy and paste chrome:

When it appears highlighted in yellow, use the drop-down option to the right to change it from Default to Disabled . Now do the same for: Cast Media Route Provider , then Restart Google Chrome and the changes will take effect.

Remember that just about everything in Chrome settings can vanish or stop working at random. Google has a long history of adding and removing features from Chrome and Chrome flags. Sadly we’ve seen a lot of cool features come and go before their time before they have had a chance to be something great. The same has happened for terrible features though so it really can go either way.
