Suggested March 2024 Best Uk Homekit Smart Plug: Eve Energy Review
The HomeKit accessory ecosystem is slowly expanding, but there is still a dearth of accessories outside of the United States.
Given what is available, the Eve Energy (US version) is the best choice for UK Apple users who are looking for the best HomeKit smart plug that actually fits in the UK three-prong sockets.
The Eve Energy is set up using the Eve app, but you don’t have to use the Eve app after initial configuration if you don’t want to. Getting started is simple. You just plug the Eve Energy into a socket and the Eve app automatically detects it. You add it to a room and then the accessory shows up in your HomeKit home.
A few years ago, Bluetooth HomeKit accessories were notoriously unreliable when it came to sending commands. The UK HomeKit market doesn’t really have many Wi-Fi-based options, so the Eve Energy is the best option out there. While Wi-Fi accessories are still superior, the experience with Bluetooth HomeKit has definitely improved, and it’s more than good enough. Turning the plug on and off was always fast and responsive in my testing.
Once the accessory is inside the Home app, you can name it and move it to the relevant room.
You just tap on its tile in the Apple Home app to turn the plug on or off, or just ask Siri to do the same.
Set the accessory as a favorite, then you can quickly control all of your most-used accessories, using the Home platter widget in Control Center.
The simplicity of smart plugs is what makes them great. Plug a dumb standing lamp into the Eve Energy, plug the Eve Energy into the wall, and boom — you have a smart light of sorts.
The Apple Home app lets you customize how the plug is presented as an accessory. By default, it will look like a generic power-point switch. However, you can edit the accessory and choose to present it as either a fan or a light. To do this, long-press on the Eve Energy tile, swipe to the settings screen, and tap the “Display As” button.
Using “Display As” also opens up Siri’s understanding to more natural language. By default, you can toggle the plug by asking Siri something like “Turn off the Eve Energy.” But if you set the display mode as a fan, you can speak more naturally, like, “Turn on the fan,” or, “Stop the fan.”
The best part of HomeKit is how you can unify smart home accessories from many different manufacturers inside of one app, Apple Home (or any of the third-party HomeKit apps on the App Store). HomeKit also lets you group these disparate accessories together with smart scenes and automations.
You can easily add the Eve Energy to your “I’m leaving” or “Good night” scene, allowing one command to turn everything off in your home. With iOS 13, the Home app will even suggest these scenes to you when onboarding the accessory, so you can configure this behavior by literally checking the box during setup. Obviously, you can always add new scenes and edit existing ones later.
You can then configure automations to trigger the scenes in response to events like time of day, sunrise/sunset, or when HomeKit detects that a person arrives or leaves.
All of this behavior can be managed from within the Apple Home experience. The Eve app gives you a bit more fine-grained information about power consumption and energy usage.
The app shows current energy consumption, can estimate the costs on your electricity ball, and chart usage over time. Home and Eve sit happily side by side, so you can leave the Eve app in a folder and refer to it occasionally if you are interested in that information.
The main gotcha with this product is just the size of the overall enclosure. The smart plug is relatively large, and its width can be prohibitive in certain places. If you are planning to put in a socket next to other things that are plugged in, there may not be room for both to fit, depending on the outlet. In my case, it would be fine in a wall socket, but it couldn’t slot in alongside other plugs in an extension lead.
Overall, though, the Eve Energy is by far the best choice for UK smart plug solutions. It just works. If you are looking to dive into HomeKit, it’s a great place to start.

Have you ever forgotten to unplug something before leaving home or the office and had to go all the way back to do so? It’s a bit aggravating and inconvenient, isn’t it? It’s a good thing we now have all types of smart devices to keep us from making these careless mistakes. One such device is Amake’s WiFi Smart Power Plug.
This single power plug can be plugged into any three-prong outlet and controlled from your Android or iOS device using the e-Control app. It’s smooth sailing once you get the plug setup.Setting Up the WiFi Smart Power Plug
Once you’ve downloaded the required e-Control app (linked above), you’ll also need to make sure that the device you’re using is connected to your home’s WiFi network.
Note: only 2.4G networks are supported; 5G isn’t supported.
You’ll be prompted to enter your WiFi password so that you can configure the plug. It should only take a few seconds for it to connect.
You will see “SmartPlug” listed, and it should say “Configuration success …” at the top. Now you can select it to set it up. By default, it’s turned off, but you can tap on “OFF” to turn it on. You can also set up timers from here and see the device’s time at the bottom-right. (It should be the same as your home time since it uses your WiFi.)
When you turn it on, the light on the plug turns red. It remains red even when you plug something into it. This lets you know that it’s connected and working properly. The light can also indicate issues, though. For instance, if the light flashes once a second, it means that the configuration failed, and it needs to be done again.Using the WiFi Smart Power Plug
This is just like any other outlet in your home, so all you have to do is plug something into it to use it. You can keep it on at all times or just whenever you need to.
The best feature of the plug is the timer feature. There are three different types to choose from:
Scheduled Timer – You can choose when the plug will turn on and/or off along with how often to repeat it (once, daily, or the same day(s) each week).
Countdown Timer – This allows you to either set a countdown timer to turn the plug on or off. For instance, you can have it turn off after 2.5 hours so that your phone isn’t overcharged.
Cycled Timer – Here you can set a total period and how long the on and off repeated timers will last. During this period the plug will be turned on during different times. For instance, you can have a lamp turn on and off throughout the day when you’re away so that it looks like someone is at home.
There are a few other features in Settings such as device locking (so that no one else in your network can find the plug), push messages, firmware update, and charging protection. Not much explanation is given for these features, so you are forced to figure things out yourself.
If you ever want to reset the plug, just press and hold the On/Off key in the app until the light on the plug flashes quickly. This is great if you want to give it away to someone else so that they can connect it to their own home network and mobile device.Final Thoughts
The WiFi Smart Power Plug works great, but you do have to remember that the app only works when connected to your home network. You won’t be able to turn the plug on or off when away from home. That’s where the timers come into play – they can be extremely useful. Even a simple timer to have the plug go off at the same time each day (e.g. the time you leave for work) would be really smart to have enabled.
The plug responds quickly to the app, and I found no delay when tapping on/off. I tried out a scheduled timer and countdown timer and both were right on time. If you need an affordable, basic smart plug, this could be the perfect solution for you. If you’re not very tech-savvy, this would also be great since it doesn’t require much effort, and the simple on/off button is a no-brainer.

Deciding between Alexa, Google Home or Apple HomeKit smart home platforms can be daunting. It’s a choice that will likely guide your gadget buying preferences for years to come. Even once you’ve decided to build an Apple HomeKit smart home, the rapidly expanding market of smart home-compatible devices and upgrading your home from dumb to smart can seem overwhelming.
Apple HomeKit provides a solid base for your smart home, so it’s a great place to start your planning. Everything in this guide works seamlessly with Apple’s smart home software. As an added bonus you’ll be building your system around Apple’s security and privacy features which are more robust than both Amazon’s and Google’s.Apple Homekit devices for a smart home: the Coziest Ecosystem
HomeKit offers a somewhat limited selection of compatible devices when compared to Amazon’s Alexa and the Google Home ecosystems. However, this is at least partially by design. It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to iPhone and Mac users. Apple maintains tight controls over all of its platforms. The company keeps a runnning list on their website of all devices that work with HomeKit.
What HomeKit lacks in options it makes up for with ease of setup. Many devices that work with Alexa and Google Assistant require their own apps. All HomeKit-compatible devices are designed to work within the Apple Home app, which is built into iOS and macOS. This level of integration minimizes glitches and saves you from downloading a separate app for each smart home device you add.
If you’re seriously considering HomeKit for your smart home system, you likely already have one or more Apple products, so this level of integration will be nothing new to you. From Home, to Rooms, to Scenes
The Apple Home app allows you to control all devices in your smart home from a single interface. The app further organizes your devices into Rooms, based on their location in your home. Beyond that, the app allows you to set up “Scenes” which are essentially prearranged settings that touch multiple devices. For example, you could create an “Away” Scene that turns off all the lights in your home, locks the doors, and changes the thermostat to a more economical setting.
You can trigger these scenes—and pretty much any other smart home event—through the Home app or through Siri voice commands. Before you Buy, Check the Wi-Fi
HomeKit makes it dead simple to set up your smart home devices as long as they get adequate wi-fi coverage. If your house has multiple floors or a very large footprint, you may want to consider purchasing range extenders. Changing to a mesh network will also work. Making sure that the wi-fi signal from your router can reach all of your smart home devices (especially those that will stay outdoors such as smart doorbells or security cameras) is vital.Smarthub for Home, and Away
Thanks to Apple’s tight mobile integration, you can control every aspect of your HomeKit devices from your iPhone. This is great when you need to adjust settings while you’re away. However, in order to use this functionality, you will need some sort of a hub for your smart home. When you’re home and don’t have your phone on you every single moment, the convenience of having a hub for your smart home is undeniable.
A smart home hub gives you the ability to simply speak commands to Siri and have every device in your home obey you. Perfect for those moments when your hands are messy from cooking dinner, the kids are screaming at you, and you need to adjust the thermostat. You will also need a smart hub to use HomeKit’s “Scenes” feature.
Originally, Apple allowed you to use an iPad, AppleTV, or 3rd party smart hubs, but did not make a smart hub of its own. This changed in 2023 when they released the original HomePod, Apple’s first dedicated smart hub. HomePod was not cheap, retailing at $349. HomePod Mini released in the fall of 2023 and at $99 had a much more reasonable price tag. Apple announced the following March that it would discontinue the original HomePod and focus on HomePod Mini.
Anywhere that a HomePod can hear your voice, you can use it to give orders to your smart home devices. Linking multiple HomePods turns on handy features like intercom and whole-home music playback. Additionally, when you place two HomePods in the same room they will assign themselves left and right channels to give your music a surround-sound effect.
Sticking with Apple’s smart hubs means you’ll also enjoy features that let your phone interact with the smart hubs effortlessly. For example, you can move a call from your iPhone to a HomePod, turning it into a speakerphone, or if you’re on your way out the door, move a song playing on your HomePod to your iPhone to continue listening while you’re on the go.
Lastly, HomePod ensures that your smart home ecosystem will be based around a product that adheres to Apple’s robust security and privacy policies. Apple claims that HomePods only begin listening to your voice when you specifically address Siri. Additionally, the company states that voice commands are “associated with a random identifier” as opposed to your AppleID.Best HomeKit smart home hub: Apple HomePod Mini
Using your iPhone is the bare-bones way to control your HomeKit-based smart home. But to unlock the full potential of Apple’s technology, the HomePod Mini is essential. In a package the size of a literal apple, you’ll get a versatile speaker with full sound and a receiver for Siri voice commands. With multiple Minis, you get an intercom and sound system that covers your entire home.Smart bulbs: Truly a bright Idea
Old school light bulbs were dead simple. Smart bulbs, though, have opened up a slew of possibilities in home lighting that didn’t exist in the incandescent days.
The basic benefits of smart bulbs are obvious. If you forget to turn a light off before leaving your home, you can easily do it from your phone, wherever you are. You can also set the lights in your home to turn off after a certain time to ensure that they don’t needlessly burn energy
Smart bulbs also have features that can literally make your day-to-day life more pleasant. If you’ve upgraded to iOS 14, HomeKit’s Adaptive Lighting allows you to set varying color temperatures for your smart bulbs for different times of the day. Subtle touches like these can help you avoid the afternoon slump. That’s particularly useful to keep you awake through those dreaded 3 PM Zoom meetings.Best Apple HomeKit smart home connected light bulbs: Philips A19 Starter Kit
This Philips kit contains two bulbs with a hub, called a “Hue Bridge”. The bulbs connect to the hub, and the hub connects to HomeKit. This allows for control of your smart lighting locally, without the need for any commands to go to the cloud, improving speed without using wi-fi bandwidth. Each hub can also connect up to 50 bulbs.Keep your home locked up
Ever had that moment of panic? The one that happens when you left home 15 minutes ago and suddenly can’t remember whether you locked your door? If so, you’re a prime candidate for a smart lock. After all, smart home devices are supposed to not only make your home life easier, but also less stressful.
Smart locks very easily relieve you of this common stressor. Security features are the key aspects to look at when shopping for a smart lock, and this means physical security and cybersecurity.Best Apple HomeKit smart home connected lock: August Wi-Fi Smart Lock
August’s Wi-Fi Smart Lock allows you to use your original deadbolt. You won’t have to change out all of your keys. It has great features such as auto-locking when you leave and auto-unlocking as you approach. The lock can be used with old-school keys, your iPhone, Apple Watch, or an optional keypad. HomeKit integration also means you can control your lock remotely and automate locks and unlocks using Scenes.A smarter eye on your home
In-home security cameras used to be something that most people only saw in the movies. Now, the relatively low cost of camera tech, and the fact that everybody has a network in their homes has made them much more accessible to the general public.
Modern security cameras are relatively small, come in indoor and outdoor varieties, and connect wi-fi based. That allows you to control and access them from anywhere using a smartphone. Additionally, many cameras allow you to store footage (usually for a fee) and scroll back through days worth of video if you need to check on something after the fact.
Since numerous wi-fi cameras have experienced problems with hacking, this new feature is quite valuable. Having your video be recorded via Apple Home and sent directly to iCloud means that it is encrypted from end-to-end and much, much less susceptible to hacking.Best Apple HomeKit smart home security camera: eufy Security Solo IndoorCam
Eufy offers their indoor camera at a truly incredible price without skimping on essential features. The camera can store footage locally on an SD card, or in iCloud via HomeKit’s Secure Video feature. The Solo IndoorCam senses motion, but differentiates between pets and humans and only begins recording when “an event of interest” occurs.Help your utility bills cool off
Smart thermostats are one component of your smart home that can really help you to save money. Old school programmable thermostats have had the ability to set a seven-day schedule for years. However, if you forgot to turn that schedule off right before leaving for a long vacation, you’d be unnecessarily stuck with a big bill for heating or cooling an empty house.
Smart thermostats, at a minimum allow you to adjust the temperature in your home from anywhere using a smartphone app. HomeKit-compatible thermostats pull that capability into the Apple Home app, increasing security and allowing temperature to become part of your pre-programmed Scenes.Best Apple HomeKit smart home thermostat: Ecobee 3 lite
The Ecobee 3 lite is simple to install, and easy to integrate into your HomeKit-enabled smart home. It is programmable to any schedule and works best in smaller homes or apartments. If you end up moving to a larger space with multiple rooms, Ecobee has remote sensors that will allow the thermostat to read the temperatures in multiple rooms and adjust heating and cooling accordingly.FAQs
While it has a smaller list of compatible devices than Alexa or Google Assistant, the Apple Homekit smart home has reached a point where there is more than enough choice to assemble a truly capable smart home. If you’re an Apple evangelist or someone who prefers robust security and privacy features, HomeKit is likely your best option of the three major smart home ecosystems. Plus that fabric on the HomePod is just so inviting.
Discreet and easy to install
Ultion lock extremely secure
Keypad and remote fobs availableCons
No fingerprint scanner
Remote access requires separate BridgeOur Verdict
The Ultion Nuki does pretty much everything you could want a smart lock to do. It doesn’t replace your existing external handle, and you can still use a key to operate it. The Ultion lock cylinder is as secure as they come and the Nuki smart system is easy to use and very customisable. Though there’s no fingerprint scanner, you can buy an optional car-style fob to unlock the door without using your phone.Best Prices Today: Ultion Nuki
The Ultion Nuki is the fruit of a partnership born from a uniquely British problem. Austrian company Nuki wanted to bring its popular smart lock product over to the UK, but encountered a market that favoured fully integrated lock-and-handle set-ups over the stand-alone locks of our European cousins.
Enter British lock specialist Brisant Secure, which proposed that it build a bespoke handle system that combines the Nuki smart lock with its own 3-Star Plus Diamond Sold Secure-rated physical lock. The resulting product is the Ultion Nuki, a smart lock that’s compatible with the existing multipoint fittings of the vast majority of UK external doors.
With a high degree of accessibility, easy installation, impressive security, and a whole ecosystem of optional extras, the Ultion Nuki is one of the most compellingly complete smart lock systems we’ve seen in the UK.
Quick, easy installation
No extra drilling or wiring required
£95 professional installation option
The Ultion Nuki has been designed with self-installation in mind, though you can also arrange for a professional Lockforce locksmith to come and fit it for just £95 through Ultion.
I had the full installation and demo experience from a Brisant Secure representative for the purpose of this review, but the process was evidently very straightforward. We’re talking as little as five to ten minutes for a halfway competent DIYer. You essentially replace the internal handle and lock, which involves removing and replacing several screws, then attaching the Nuki unit over the exposed mechanical lock.
Even the weird mish-mash of handle and door components that my creaky old house has been equipped with failed to throw the Brisant Secure rep and the Ultion Nuki off their collective stride. To quote Apple, it just works.
The rep initially requested pictures of my door to make sure the lock would fit, but the simple truth is that the Ultion Nuki will work with the vast majority of UK multi-point doors. It utilises existing fittings, with provision for handle fixing distances of 215mm, 211mm, and 122mm.
A large part of the appeal with this system is that, unlike most rival smart locks, the Ultion Nuki doesn’t change the external handle. All of the smart gubbins are stashed on the inside, so all that’s changed is the internal handle and the lock cylinder itself.
Jon Mundy / Foundry
All a would-be burglar will see is that you have one of the best lock cylinders in the business, which serves as a handy deterrent. Indeed, so confident is Brisant Secure in the strength of its lock, it provides a £2,000 security guarantee if the lock is broken during the first five years of ownership.
Brisant Secure also offers a service whereby you can securely order more of its sturdy physical keys via a phone call, though the usual high street key cutters can still perform a service here.Features & Design
Discreet internal-only design
Simple dial-and-button system
Unlock with physical key or app
As we’ve already mentioned, the entirety of the Ultion Nuki system sits on the inside of your door. It’s undoubtedly chunky compared to a regular handle, and it certainly doesn’t blend into the door like, say, the Blusafe Origin Smart lock. Still, it’s a clean, handsome, all-white design that will match the predominantly all-white interior colour of most UK PVC doors.
The Nuki mechanism barely extends beyond the width of the handle, and my main concern about size was related to the lock’s depth – a potential issue if there isn’t much space for your door to open. Even then, the main body of the Nuki system protrudes only a little beyond the door handle above it, so doesn’t cause any problems.
Jon Mundy / Foundry
Your main point of interaction will be that circular dial and button beneath the internal handle. Pressing the button in the middle will lock or unlock the door using the Nuki’s somewhat noisy motor. You’ll want to revert to a good old fashioned physical key if you want to ensure you don’t wake your family or housemates after a night out.
It’s worth pointing out that the other smart locks we’ve seen for multipoint doors remove the option of using a key entirely, and that’s why the Ultion Nuki will be an attractive option for so many people.
You can also lock and unlock the door mechanically by rotating the dial. Whichever method you choose, a ring light will indicate whether the door is locked (full circle) or unlocked (incomplete circle).
The lock itself runs off four AA batteries, which should last for anywhere between six months to a year, though this will vary depending on how much you use the smart aspects of the lock. You’ll get notifications sent to your phone when these batteries need changing, and there’s the option of a rechargeable battery pack if you care about the environment.
One of the major points of reassurance with the Ultion Nuki’s basic design is that it operates just fine as a purely mechanical lock. You could quite happily go about your business using it as a regular ‘dumb’ lock with the batteries taken out. But that, of course, that defeats the whole point of having a smart lock.
Just about the only missing feature is a fingerprint sensor. Blusafe’s Origin Smart lock (below) incorporates biometric authentication as standard, but remains the only smart multi-point lock (that we know of) to have this.
Jim Martin / FoundryRemote access
You can use your phone to unlock the Ultion Nuki smart lock via the Nuki app. The lock will use your phone’s local Bluetooth signal by default, which means you’ll have to be very close by in order to operate it.
Jon Mundy / Foundry
You’ll need to buy the Nuki Bridge separately, or as part of a discounted bundle, if you want to expand access to your Wi-Fi network. This is very much recommended for several reasons.
Because of the way multi-point locks work, the handle must be lifted prior to locking the door. No smart lock (yet) can lock your door after you unlock it without human assistance. This means you can’t unlock it for a courier to make a delivery while you’re out, as you’ll have no way to lock it again unless the courier, or whoever it is, is willing to lift the handle for you.
However, there are a couple of auto-locking options built into the app. One is a simple timer which can be set to lock after at least 30 seconds of unlocking, and another is to use geofencing to lock when you move beyond a certain distance from home. Both still require the handle to have been lifted first, of course.
Using those aforementioned smart assistants, you can opt to unlock your door with a vocal command. You’ll need to include a verbal passcode for obvious security reasons.
Including the Bridge with your purchase also opens up Nuki’s Auto Unlock system. Using geofencing, Auto Unlock will detect when you’re approaching (you can adjust the activation distance) and will ready the Nuki’s Bluetooth connection for your arrival.
The door will then unlock when it detects your phone in the immediate vicinity, which can be extremely convenient when you’re laden with shopping bags or returning home in the dark.
Auto Unlock worked most of the time in my experience, but it wasn’t foolproof. On some occasions I had to wait at the door for the Nuki to realise I was there, while there were times where it didn’t work at all.
It seemed to work particularly well with my iPhone 13 Pro, and not so well with my wife’s iPhone SE and certain Android phones.
Doing so is as easy as pressing and holding the main button on the Nuki device for a few seconds and following the pairing instructions on the app. I paired two iPhones and several Android phones during my test period, and didn’t experience any issues at all, beyond that occasionally uncooperative Auto Unlock system.
It’s also possible to set up limited access schedules for certain devices. This could be applied if you have a cleaner who comes in at a set time on a specific day of the week, or if you wish to prevent your kids from gaining access when they should be at school (a genuine scenario, according to the installer).
Airbnbers will be interested to note that you can link the Ultion Nuki to the AirBnB app, which will send an electronic key granting access to the property during the rental period.
The Nuki app is extremely customisable, but those extra functions are suitably hidden within layers of menus. All you’ll be greeted with when booting the app up is a black screen that indicates whether the Nuki is locked or unlocked. Locking or unlocking is a matter of a lateral swipe, and I instantly switched this to automatically do the opposite to its current status for extra ease of use.
You can also tap the screen to bring up a simple set of lock/unlock buttons.Price & availability
The basic Ultion Nuki package starts at £239. This will get you the lock, handle, and Nuki unit itself, but not the Wi-Fi Bridge.
It, along with the bundles, is available to buy from the official Ultion website.
If you want the Bridge included, that’s £309. Or you can buy it for £89 on its own, which seems steep to us.
There’s also another bundle that additionally includes a Keypad for £379 (£79 on its own) as well as the Bridge, which is ideal for Airbnb properties or landlords.
The top £424 package adds a key fob which lets you unlock your door with a button press, much like a car. You can buy one on its own for £49, though, if you just want the base lock and a fob.
Other options include an external handle for £19 and a rechargeable battery pack for £49. iPhone users can also obtain an Ultion KeyTag, which uses Apple’s Find My app to track your keys via a special key handle. You can order one of these for £39.
The Ultion Nuki, then, isn’t the cheapest smart lock on the market. It’s around £40 more expensive than the Yale Conexis L1 in its basic guise, and you’ll ideally want to spend above £300 to get all the features.Verdict
The Ultion Nuki is a difficult product to fault. It handles the whole smart lock concept with an unusual degree of poise, accessibility, security and discretion.
It’ll fit the vast majority of UK multipoint-locking doors, and won’t making a big show of things externally.
The locking mechanism itself is as secure as they come, and the fact you can still use a physical key with it will no doubt be a deal-maker for many prospective buyers who aren’t quite ready to ditch one entirely.
It isn’t the cheapest smart lock, and as with the Blusafe and Yale, you only get remote access if you purchase a ‘bridge’ as well: these devices don’t have built-in Wi-Fi.
Overall, the quality is extremely reassuring, and this makes it much easier to recommend.
Ultion Nuki: Specs
Internal handle dimensions: 275mm x 60mm x 79mm (HxWxD)
Internal handle weight: 625g
Batteries: 4 x AA
Connectivity: Bluetooth 5.0

This new project’s presale ended on December 12th. The project will make its IEO on December 14th on LBank, followed by many other CEX/DEX listings. If you invested in IMPT, you can claim your tokens right now, and if not, you will be able to get IMPT tokens on varios CEX listings in a few days.6. Tamadoge (TAMA) – Best Crypto To Invest In
Tamadoge(TAMA) is a new exciting meme coin that is attracting the attention of all the crypto investors around the world right now, so it does not come as a surprise that it is the most popular coin in the UK as well. TAMA is different from other meme coins because of its utility. It will be used for unleashing all the interesting features that this exciting ecosystem has to offer.
The roadmap of the Tamadoge project is transparent, which new investors love. The players can expect to get a pet, raise it and nurture it, battle with it when it’s time and collect Dogepoints that will bring lucrative prizes to the players. Ultimately, the player that shows the best skills will be generously rewarded for it. TAMA is a deflationary token, so the supply of tokens will decrease over time which will also increase its price.7. Battle Infinity (IBAT) – The most popular metaverse coin
Battle Infinity is an exciting project that has all the attention glued to it because it combines the Metaverse, NFT, and blockchain games, but also because it functions on the play-to-earn principle. Made by Indian developers, their skills were directed towards propelling global growth, which is why it is characterized as the next Polygon (MATCI), Decentraland, or Axie Infinity. The games will occur in Battle Arena, the virtual environment of the Battle Infinity ecosystem.
The native coin of Battle Infinity is called IBAT. Battle Infinity platform consists of six elements: IBAT PREMIER LEAGUE, IBAT BATTLE SWAP, IBAT BATTLE MARKET, IBAT BATTLE GAMES, IBAT BATTLE ARENA, and IBAT BATTLE STAKE. The players will utilize IBAT to navigate the platform and get the most out of their investment.
The presale was planned to last for 90 days, but it ended in 25 instead! It got listed on PancakeSwap on August 17th, which resulted in a price rise of 446%, which is an incredible result and one of the reasons why IBAT is one of the best cryptocurrencies in the UK!8. Lucky Block (LBLOCK) – One of the hottest tokens to buy in the UK
Lucky Block was launched earlier this year, and it instantly became one of the most popular tokens. The native token of the Lucky Block ecosystem is called LBLOCK, and its launch was soon followed by the launch of the Platinum Rollers Club NFT collection. With the planned prizes such as a $1 million house, Lamborghini, Fifa world cup tickets, and many others, it’s no wonder why the number of NFT holders kept steadily increasing. There are LBLOCK V1 on Binance Smart Chain and LBLOCK V2 on Ethereum. The latter was released to relieve the investors from taxes.
With the token being listed on LBank and Pancakeswap, its availability increased altogether with its popularity. The developers behind the project have also implemented the Ethereum bridge, which enables the easy swap between V1 and V2 but also increases the utility and makes the process a lot easier. With the listing on chúng tôi we can only expect that its price will continue to grow, which is incredible news for the early investors who have ensured their participation on time. However, there is still time to do something about it if you want to ride this wave and see what can happen! Conclusion
This is an exciting time for the crypto market for sure, and with plenty of coins to choose from, there are the ones that instantly show us just what kind of potential they have. $TARO, MEMAG, and $RIA, together with the rest of the coins that we listed, are the most wanted coins right now.

PopuPiano Smart Portable Piano MIDI Controller: First Impressions & Specs
PopuMusic is a company that makes smart music instruments accompanied by apps with tutorials and free lessons. Some of the most popular smart portable music instruments they make started as Indiegogo crowdfunding campaigns – the Poputar T1 and T2 (smart guitar), Populele 1 and 2 (smart ukulele), and Popupiano smart portable piano.
Popupiano isn’t your ordinary keyboard but a MIDI controller (or MIDI keyboard) instead. MIDI stands for Musical Instrument Digital Interface and gives you more possibilities in terms of sound effects than a traditional music instrument.
While a MIDI keyboard may look like a regular keyboard (which is true in the case of PopuPiano), it doesn’t make a sound on its own. That means that PopuPiano doesn’t have a built-in speaker and requires a mobile app to function properly, i.e., to produce sound. The good news is that PopuPiano has an excellent PopuMusic app with everything you need to learn and practice your music skills.
Can you learn to play piano with PopuPiano MIDI keyboard? Before I share my own experience with the instrument with you, here’s the complete list of tech specifications of the PopuPiano smart portable piano by PopuMusic:

Design and Unpacking
Before I received the PopuPiano, I was intrigued and somewhat worried about the product I would receive. While the keyboard has 29 keys which suits my needs, it also looks like a big shiny toy in the picture. I wondered whether this product is aimed mainly at kids and if I could use it without getting annoyed by all the lights and constantly changing colors.
However, when I received the PopuPiano, I couldn’t take my hands off it for several hours! While shiny and colorful, it’s also an interactive MIDI keyboard that makes you want to learn and play more.
What’s in the Box
The bundle I received for the review is a black PopuPiano with a carrying case (or PopuBag). Here’s everything you’ll find when in the package when unboxing your PopuPiano:
PopuPiano LED keyboard
USB-C charging cable
PopuBag carrying case
PopuBag is a sturdy strapless carrying case with a glossy plastic finish for your PopuPiano and chord pad. The case has a rubbery handle, making it easy to carry your PopuPiano. The bag may look waterproof, but there’s a hole on top of it for powering up your device while on the go.
The keyboard itself is relatively small and light. Contrary to what I imagined before getting the product, the keys are of decent size (not too small as I expected), and I didn’t experience any difficulty while playing. At the same time, if you have bigger hands, you’ll probably wish the keys were a little wider.
The main keyboard has 29 acrylic keys with LED lights underneath them. The LED light keys light up as interactive fingering guides and help you learn your way around the keyboard. For my taste, the keys look even more beautiful when the piano is powered off, but of course, the visual guides are an essential part of learning how to play.
The chord pad has 18 buttons grouped as six keys of different colors. It connects to the main keyboard via a magnetic connector which you’ll find on the sides of the chord pad and the keyboard. You can use the PopuPiano keyboard without the chord pad, but not vice versa. The chord pad cannot function when not connected to the main keyboard.
Although I couldn’t find it on the website when writing this review, PopuMusic originally offered a left-handed keyboard as an add-on for your PopuPiano on their Indiegogo campaign page. It would connect to the main keyboard instead of a chord pad, and you could use your PopuPiano to play duets with a friend.
Is It Suitable for Beginners?
The main questions people seem to be asking about the PopuPiano are: is it suitable for beginners, and can you learn to play the piano with PopuPiano if you’ve never done it before?
Surprisingly, the answer to both questions is yes. I have some musical background, having spent ten years in music school as a kid, mostly playing piano. At the same time, I haven’t touched a piano in over ten years, which made me lose most of my skills in that sphere.
With that background, I downloaded the PopuMusic app on my smartphone, connected the keyboard via Bluetooth, and decided to dive into it. I opened the Pop Hits module, expecting the worst – that I won’t be able to keep up with the app and would have to start with beginner tutorials.
To my surprise, I didn’t have any issues following both the instructions on the screen and the LED guides on my keyboard. However, when facing those issues, the app has Practice and Demonstration options to get you playing quickly.
Next, I gave PopuPiano to my boyfriend, who has zero experience playing any musical instrument, let alone the piano. Since he’s a complete beginner, he started with the Piano learning course.
The course starts with simple things like correctly positioning your hands on the keyboard to make your wrists comfortable while playing. Then, the course is divided into sections that playfully introduce new skills. Plus, the lessons are constructed in the form of challenges. You can only move forward after you complete a challenge from the previous section, which makes the learning process similar to playing a video game and gives you a feeling of achievement.
Compared to standard tutor lessons (which I had to take for ten years, so I’m speaking from experience), the PopuMusic app will teach you the same skills you’d get in half a year within a few hours.
Visual LED guides and real-time feedback also help you master finger movements. The lessons further into the course reinforce the basics, and you’ll start getting the hang of it before you notice.
How About Advanced-to-Pro Musicians?
This is also where the powerful Chord pad comes into play. While its primary function is to replace the chord keys found on a standard digital keyboard, you can get creative with it. For example, in the Freeplay section, change the keyboard’s voice from piano to drums and use the chord pad as a drum pad.
If the PopuMusic app feels like something you’re done with, you can use PopuPiano for its MIDI capabilities. Thanks to the USB-C connectivity, you can connect your PopuPiano to a digital audio workstation, like Garageband or Logic, and use it to compose your tracks from scratch. (You can then use your tracks in your YouTube videos instead of looking for royalty-free music online).
The Companion App
We already touched on the PopuMusic app, but I’ll repeat it: the app is very impressive in terms of both the learning tutorials and practicing your skills. Learning which section hosts what may take some time since they aren’t always clearly labeled, but you won’t regret going through this learning curve. Having owned the PopuPiano for a few months, I still find new things to do and learn in the app.
Some of my favorite features this music app offers include playing with your favorite artists in the Pop Hits section and recording your voice with the music using the Tap and Sing module.
You can download the PopuMusic app for free on iOS and Android and the APK file. The app supports the following languages: English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.
PopuPiano is powered by a 2200mAh lithium battery which provides enough power for a decent 5-hour playing session when used continuously. The charging port is located at the back of the main keyboard. Once you plug the charger in, the green flashing light will show the battery status.
When the battery level gets to as low as 10%, the keyboard will flash red to remind you to charge the battery. You can recharge your keyboard using the USB-C charging cable provided in about 1.5 hours from zero.
Should You Buy the PopuPiano Smart Portable Piano MIDI Controller?
In my reviews, I usually recommend the products I test only for a particular type of person. “If you own pets, this gadget is perfect for you, but if you have kids, avoid buying this one.”
With PopuPiano, I’d recommend buying it for pretty much anyone. If you love music and are even remotely interested in learning to play or make your own music, the PopuPiano will fit well in your home and find its place in your soul.
